I wish Russell was here to help me share all his memories of his Uncle Gayle and Aunt Millie. Russell always remembered fondly his growing up years in Salt Lake and time spent at Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen's house with family and cousins, especially Christmas time and ice cream on Sunday.
Gayle has always been a loving, gentle man. Soft-spoken and spiritual.
When Millie passed, I told Gayle to look for the tender mercies, that they are real, and that Millie would let him know that she was okay. I send that same wish to his children and grandchildren. The veil is very thin and our loved ones will come to us. May your hearts be soft enough to feel their presence. May your ears be unstopped to hear the whisperings of their familiar spirits. And may you have peace in knowing that you are part of an eternal family. Peace. Be still and know.
