Kit was a class act man and had a big heart. Since the time I became very good friends with his son as a teenager, him and his family opened their house and lives to me and never treated me anything less than family member. Unfortunately I am no longer friends with his son, but the memories I take with me through my life of him are getting to watch Motorsport of which I am still a big fan of. But none more so than the night He baptized me. He was great man and the first in my life to treat me like a man and I try to carry those standards now as a family man myself. I am so sorry to his wife, children and many grandchildren for their loss.

We are very sorry for your loss, Kit was a nice neighbor, always willing to help in so many ways. I remember him coming to our house to ask if he could be tested to be a kidney donor, when Gary was waiting for a donor. Kit always had a big heart! We will miss him dearly, thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.

There are so many memories.... The last year I worked with Kit, he and I traveled together working all around the country. I'm not a very wordy person so I will sum all of my memories up into the following.... I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together. I loved to listen to Kit tell stories of his life. I found it fascinating that he seemed to have a memory/mind like a sponge. He seemed to remember everything about his childhood and many other things in history. People that know me know that I am usually not very conversational but Kit was able to keep me talking for hours. The world has lost a great friend in Kit but the heavens have gained a lot.
Rest in Peace Kit; catch you on the other side...

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Kit. I worked with Kit at Delta Airlines in the GSE shop and we both had a love of Nascar and racing, even spending time with him racing his mini stock at Rocky Mountain Raceways and going on the road to tracks out of state. My condolences to his family and friends, Kit was a great guy that had a heart of gold and loved his family and did whatever he could for them. Rest In Peace my friend!

The first time I met Kit was at work. He asked if my name was Bob. I said yes. Then he asked if I liked racing. I said yes. We've been best friends since that day. We watched our children grow up and become friends. We would work together, ride our motorcycles, and celebrate the holidays together. One of my favorite memories, and there are so many, was when we went to Pomona to watch the drag races. This was his first time to see a top fuel dragster. He went to the fence to watch the burnout and then came back up to our seats. He had black rubber spots allover the front of himself. When the dragster left the starting line. Kit studup and screamed at the top of his lungs, "MY GOD THAT'S FAST!". That's only one of the (millions of things ) that Kit and I did together. We will miss Kit more than anyone else.
