Blair Kit Zindel's Obituary
Our beloved Papa passed away unexpectedly August 6th 2020. He was born Blair Kit Zindel to Guy Vaughn and Lenore Zindel at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater California. He grew up in Cathy's Valley California and would frequently tell stories about growing up in the Yosemite Valley and going to school in a one-room schoolhouse. During his teen years Kit fought forest fires with the California Division of Forestry. He served a mission in London England. Most of his career was spent working on and around airplanes; working for McDonald Douglass, Western, and Delta Air lines. He loved being able to travel and visit family as often as he could. Kit had a heart of gold and was beloved by all who he came across. He opened his house to many and always made them feel at home.
Kit's favorite hobbies included riding his Harley, taking trips to Sturgis with his wife and friends. Fishing with his kids and grandkids. Many summers were spent at the racetrack where he raced mini sprints, stock cars, and mini cups. His nickname became chef Kit, because he loved feeding people. It brought him so much joy to see the smiles on their faces after eating a delicious meal and having a good conversation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy Vaughn and Lenore Zindel, his brother Guy Vaughn Jr., and his sister Polly Young.
He is survived by his wife Patrice, his brother Robin, son Ian (Jennifer), daughter Elizabeth (Joshua); grandchildren Sydney, Dalton, Harley, Benjamin, and Geoffrey.
He is truly missed and the heavens have received another angel.
A viewing will be held on Sunday August 16th at Premier Funeral Services 67 E 8000 S Midvale, UT 84047 from 2-4 P.M. Memorial service TBD.
