Carl Capson's Obituary
Carl Capson, 82 of Kearns, Utah passed away October 10th 2025 at home with his family.
Born on March 18th 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Mary Capson.
After graduation Carl served 4 years in the Navy as a diesel mechanic. Carl had a successful career as a mechanic for many years until he retired in 2009. Carl met the love of his life, at the young age of 4 years old. They were married on October 10th 1964, in Elko Nevada, he passed away on their 61st wedding anniversary. He had 4 children, 7 grandkids, 14 great grand kids.
Carl was a family man who took great pride in his family, he would do anything and everything for them. Carl loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family. He was an excellent mechanic who would love to fiddle with any type of motor or engine. He liked to keep himself busy by doing all sorts of home improvement projects. Carl touched many lives and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Carl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice Suazo Capson, his daughter, Jackie Ortez; his son Dennis Capson (Angela); and his 7 grandkids, Nichole, Kassie, Gabe, Jessica, Anthony, Alex, Addison, and his 14 great grandchildren. Carl is also survived by 2 brothers, Richard and David and sister Pam, and many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Capson, and his sister Pauline, and his sons Frank and Mark Capson.
Carl survived and beat stage 3 lung cancer this year. We also want to give a special thanks to Dr. Low and his oncology team that helped him fight and beat lung cancer and gave us the extra time with him.
He was the best “pops” and “gramps” ever, his bright blue eyes and smile will be missed forever. It's not goodbye “its see ya later”
