I have so many memories of him from our childhood. I will always appreciate his fun spirit and the sense of safety he brought to everyone around him. He was always mindful of others’ feelings, making everyone feel accepted, and he never forgot the underdog. He had a huge heart and loved immensely. I will always remember him walking me home from school and waking up on a Saturday morning to find my parents’ porch covered in flowers, notes, and cards from him. As stubborn as a bull when he wanted to be, he also shared deep, thoughtful conversations that I will never forget.
