Dale was the source of many youth activity photos that ended up on the wall at church. He was good at capturing the moment. Even this week we were given photos of us as kids receiving scout awards. Later when I had kids of my own they knew Dale as the mint man. They knew they could run to the back of the chapel and get a mint lifesaver candy from him. So Dale had a great influence on me as a youth as well as my children in their youth. My brother described Dale once as a "salt of the earth" type of a person. I thought that was a great way to describe him. What a legacy of a great man. I smile at the reunion he is having with his dear wife Kathy.

Dale has been a family friend all my life. As a kid he always ensured me and my siblings had copies of the latest movies to watch on the old VHS player and he got me hooked on chocolate cake donuts early in life as he would frequently drop off a box to share and I always ate more than my share. He was also a great photographer and was generous in taking and giving out pictures from all those many events he showed up to support. I learned a lot from him and Kathy over the years and gained so much respect for them both. He didn’t hesitate to offer advice when he saw the need. If it wasn’t needed them he would offer some words of encouragement! My condolences to his family.

Dale was my oldest friend. We grew up together, went to school together, and worked together. In later life we celebrated each other’s birthday and Christmas at the Little America buffet. He was a gentle giant. At least six members of my family worked for Dale when he managed the State Street Inkley’s store. He was kind, gentle, and compassionate. He knew no strangers. I will miss you, my friend.

Dale was a close friend of my father, Art Proctor. He arranged to have my wedding photos taken. During the years I knew him, we enjoyed Oscar parties together. He was a good friend and generous friend to my mother and dad and to our family.

Dale was a large man in life, in heart and kindness. A man that always had a huge smile on his face and for him the opportunity for kindness.with being pleasant to everyone. Mark Twain said, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Dale’s smile, thoughtfulness and many years of working with cameras and pictures was a passport that opened many doors for friendships that have lasted a life time. As your family look back and remember your special times together, beautiful smiles, loving hugs all of you have shared. I hope you will find comfort when your heart cry’s to remember to let your heart also smile for what he has accomplished and for what he will find and looks forward to. Dale was a great boss and loyal friend. He always stood up for his employees.

I remember one time we decided we needed to go to Evanston, WY to get some fireworks. So, we took a long lunch one day and took my sports car to buy fireworks. Miss you my friend.
