Your Dad was the one who made me realize that Christ is literally the begotten son of our Heavenly Father. I believe I was in high school at the time, or at least in junior high. Your family was staying with us, and we were talking in my parents' living room. I don't recall exactly what he said, but the meaning of his words was irrefutable. I was stunned and overwhelmingly enlightened!
We always had a wonderful time when you all came to visit!
Dan and Launa Gae were the best "friend parents" I could have had as a teenager! You both made your home such a fun and welcome place, and were both so kind to the motley crew of teenagers that showed up to hang out or sleep over. I always loved Dan's wry sense of humor; laughing at a joke is how I always picture him. Much love to the whole family at this time of missing these wonderful people!
I was able to visit with Uncle Dan the first part of November. I asked him what he wished he could if was able to make a trip back to Star Valley. Well I always has the memory of a bay mare named snicker and riding up through the homestead. Maybe he has been able to do that again now. Love his family and he will be missed.
