My heart is broken! Darren was one of the kindest and most loving men I have ever met! I have known him for 20 years and have enjoyed every moment I spent with him. We laughed together often and his contagious smile and laugh will be forever missed. The summer parties and the office meetings and halls will be so empty without his voice echoing down them. He made a big impact on my life and will be forever grateful that I got to call Darren a friend. Love and miss you so much!!

Darren was a wonderful and kind man, and I had the privilege of working with him for several years at the State of Utah. He had a remarkable ability to uplift others with his helping hand, positive attitude, and infectious smile. Darren's character was truly rare, and I will forever be grateful to have known him. His absence will be deeply felt, and he will be incredibly hard to replace. May he rest in peace, knowing the profound impact he made on our lives.
Darren was by far the greatest man I've ever met in my life. He was the most kind, compassionate, genuine, sly, funny, accepting human I have ever met in my life. I was at a point where I just wanted to hate all people, men especially, and then Darren became my boss and made that absolutely impossible. As just my boss! I'm going to miss his dad jokes, his smile, his genuine love and acceptance, and just his presence on earth.
I have never met a soul more Christ like, and I will forever be grateful to this beautiful man for being part of my life. Thank you Darren. For everything.

Occasionally, I would catch a ride home from school with Haley. Her dad always drove. I remember him as kind and gentle. Somehow, during short car rides or any time I saw him at church in passing, he had a knack for making me feel so important and loved. My parents have always spoken so highly of him, and I'm happy to speak highly of him as well.
I will be forever blessed to have gotten to know Darren. He had such a kindness and knew how to make each one of his employees feel like they truly mattered. Thank you for the wonderful conversations and laughs we had! You will be forever missed but your light, kindness and compassion will be carried on with all of us that were lucky enough to have been part of yours. My condolences and prayers to the Fox family.
Much love and heartfelt sympathy for the Fox family. My memories of my cousins Darren and his brother Greg are sweet. As life seems to get in the way when we become adults, I cherish the childhood memories of visiting and playing together. Darrin was always gentle and kind. Love you Darrin. Until we meet again.
I started working with Darren clear back in 1998. He instantly became not just a fellow employee, but a wonderful friend that has continued through the years. We had a pact that we would retire together. I will miss our weekly chats about work and life and meeting up at the BYU football games. He made you feel as you were the most important person in the world when speaking with him. He had the ability to make you feel like you could conquer any challenge that was in front of you. I miss chatting with you, and seeing your smile that would light up any room. Kim, Haley and Levi, know you are loved. Many prayers are sent your way. I will never forget you Darren. You were a true friend.

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to express how I feel about Darren. I was blessed to work under his supervision for many years. Darren wasn't just a supervisor--he was a true friend, in every sense of the word. Darren is deeply loved, admired, and respected by everyone in the Department of Workforce Services; especially by those he directly supervised. He has always been unfailingly kind, patient, generous, funny, and supportive. I never heard him say a negative word about anyone or anything. I will forever cherish memories of our friendship.
