1942 - 2017
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Darwin K. Olsen, passed away October 29, 2017 at home in Provo, Utah. He was born November 4, 1942 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Lewis and Nellie Olsen. He married his sweetheart Linda Mae Olsen in March 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Darwin served in the US Military during the Vietnam War from 1959 – 1962, where he received an honorable discharge.
Darwin was a truck driver by trade and was the recipient of many safety and truck driving awards.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Valerie (Mike) Bera, Rick A. Weight, Kenneth D. Weight; sister, Pat Olsen; brother in life, Kendall Olson; grandchildren, Laury, Jacob, Justin, Jessica, Bailey, Bodie, Jac’lyn, Raquel, Michael and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Bianca.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11th, 10:30 am, at Premier Funeral Services, 1160 North 1200 West, Orem, with a gathering prior for family and friends at 10:00 am.
