David Mark Carroll's Obituary
David Mark Carroll, 44, of Lehi, Utah passed away on December 28, 2021. Born November 18, 1977, in Provo, Utah, he is the fifth child of Ronald Gail Carroll and Marlene (Martell) Carroll of Lehi, Utah. David is survived by four beautiful children, Weston, Hayden, Cameron, Baily, their mother Cami Carroll, former spouse Kimberly Carroll, and stepson Parker Lavin. David also left behind six siblings, Angela (Timothy) Aguilar, Tiffany (Jared) Sanderson, Nicole (Robert) Mustain, Brian (Rebecca) Carroll, Amanda (Ryan) Best, Brittany (Christopher) Thompson, and thirty-one nieces and nephews.
David was a gifted child and loved tinkering with computers at an early age. He built his own personal computer, taught himself coding, and created original video games. As a teen entrepreneur, he developed an online bulletin board (BBS) to earn money by offering technical support and services. David was a whiz kid and owned a successful computer business for many years. Most recently, he has worked as a valuable member of the tech support team at Sun Run Solar in Lehi, Utah. There was never a computer problem David could not solve or a person he would not help in the most kind and patient way, oftentimes free to his customers.
David has a beautiful soul! Everyone that knew him well, loved him and felt loved by him. Even through his personal struggles, David often expressed his deep love for his children. He was also a caring, tender, and devoted son to his parents. David has always been exceptionally bright and inquisitive, constantly seeking answers to questions and problems. As a brother, he was playful, competitive at games, protective, and a big tease with his sisters. His favorite pastime since childhood has been to play and watch basketball.
David fought many personal battles but never gave up trying to become a better man. When darkness overtook him, it was all he could do to carry on. He constantly struggled to find happiness and peace of mind. David suffered alone the disappointments, regrets, and sorrows of life for as long as he could, never wanting to burden others. It is comforting to know that he has stepped into the light and is now resting from his heartache and pain. With spiritual healing, a new perspective, lessons learned, and restored hope, comes the promise of better times ahead.
We trust our Savior knows David’s heart and mind and are grateful He will be David’s Judge and Advocate with Heavenly Father. We are proud of all that is good about David and will miss his kind and loving nature. We wish him peace as his journey continues.
We love you David, more than words can express. “God be with you till we meet again.”
