Personally, I have already felt deeply the loss of my “lawn mowing buddy” as we would pass each other in our yards - motor noises filling the air. I have no doubt that at least one corner of the Spirit World just got a significant upgrade in its physical appearance - there must be lawns in heaven, I’m sure! And as we would sometimes cut the motors and talk, the conversation between us would go something like this...Dave: “Well, it never ends, does it?” Me: “Nope, always more cutting and trimming to do.” And it would always be followed with a kind question or word from him about my kids, an update on his family, a hopeful attitude for the upcoming BYU game. What a kind and good man. We love and miss him so much!
Mr. Harness and Mrs Harness always made me feel so welcome in their home. It was great fun being on their boat and trying to learn how to water ski. Mr. Harness was very patient with me. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that the Lord will give you comfort during this time of sadness.
Dave would always stop and praise me for my hard work in the yard. He'd then ask if I was for hire. His great big smile and cute chuckle will be so missed. Wish he could stay with us forever.
