David Le Roy Wilcox's Obituary
David Le Roy Wilcox
1951 - 2017
The world has lost a great father, brother and friend. David Le Roy Wilcox passed away quietly on January 8th at 1:40 AM, though quiet is never a word used to describe him. He was loud, boisterous, passionate and friendly to all. Always quick with a hearty “Hi, how are you?!!” and he always cared to know the answer, even from a complete stranger. He had a big heart, always ready with some insightful words, a shoulder to lean on or a quick word to make you laugh. He also had the amazing ability to intentionally annoy you until you were forced to smile.
He was very passionate about his family, he loved his siblings, kids and grandchildren and would spend time with them as often as possible. He had many other passions: science fiction, fantasy, anime, comedy, television and movies. His love of Star Trek and Godzilla were second to none.
“Nanu nanu, shazbot!” “Live long and prosper”
He is survived by his brother Rickie Wilcox, sisters Catherine Adderly and Charlotte Chapman, daughter Bonita Karen Wilcox, son David Bryan (Jenelle) Wilcox, son Jeremiah Kirk Wilcox, and 8 grandchildren.
