Dawn Marie Ansley's Obituary
Dawn Marie Ansley was born August 18 1953, To Monte Cristo & Sherron Keller at LDS hospital in SLC Utah, Dawn had a lust for life she loved to drive with the radio playing her oldies while singing to the windshield zipping around town in several fun cars from a yellow custom graphics Pac Woman Camaro, MG midget convertible, Honda civic and her recent PT cruiser to remember a few. Driving and video poker machines were a few of her favorite activities as well as cartoons and black and white movies she loved brain games like Sudoku, crossword puzzles, solitaire and reading. Dawn was a master at crocheting and knitting. Several loved ones currently warmed by her blankets of love knots. Dawn also loved spending time with family. Where pre Covid she traveled weekly for family nights often cooking for the family and always providing entertainment with her humor. One of her favorite places was her Mothers cabin in Utah’s high Uinta’s where family would gather for as she would quote “making memories” and another favorite for her was the city of lights, Las Vegas. Dawn loved her family almost as much as her puppies. She was quite the dog lover. Dawn was always quick with a joke and usually was making total strangers get a pretty good laugh with her funny ways of delivering her thoughts. The ones closest to her really got to enjoy her sense of humor. As her inside jokes were often the best!
Dawn was the oldest of 4 siblings Monte Cristo Jr, Becky, Anton Mark and youngest brother Matt grew up in Sugarhouse where she attended South High school just out of high school, she married young. Her first husband John, they conceived her daughter Misty Dawn. She remarried Von, they had a son Eric Von. She was a hard worker and a looker Dawn cared very much to always look her very best and as life progressed that care never wavered. She was very reliable and someone everyone could count on and often called on her for favors she happily performed. She was often house sitting or volunteering in her grandkid’s classes even shuttled neighbor kids to and from school. She enjoyed running her mom Sharron, out to appointments and on shopping errands. She loved her movie nights with her best friend and granddaughter Saige, Drive in movies and holiday fireworks. Birthday dinners at the celebrator’s
choice of restaurant. Dawn was our matriarch, tough as they come and her love was even stronger may her memories inspire us to carry on as she would in her wake.
Dawn was survived by her Husband of 28 years George Ansley, Ex-husband and friend Von Curtis children Misty, Eric, step children Alicia, Vanessa, Bill, Candice, Grandkids Kason, Bobby, Shandon, Saige, Kaden, Harmony, and Jace whom she shared a birthday with. Siblings Monte, Becky, Mark, her mother Sharron, her loving puppy Sweet Pea Grand Puppies Piper, Max, Smallz and Shilo many many loving friends extended family and several great grand children Proceeded in death by Her Father Monte Sr, little brother Matt, Step Father Orlin, previous husbands John and Dana and her Step son Lance. The bighearted grand puppy Maximus her Moms beloved puppy Zoie and her forever loving puppy of 23 years Casino “Cassy Bear”.
Dawn Passed away on March 4 2021 may she rest in peace.
A celebration of life and wilderness release of her ashes will be held at a later date because of Covid related scheduling look to be called on in the late spring early summer for this commemorating event.
