Dear Family and Friends of Dennis, unfortunately I only knew Dennis for a few short weeks. My son wanted to play soccer this year so I signed him up and volunteered to coach. I was asked to be an assistant coach for Dennis, which was great because I didn’t know much about coaching soccer. I learned a lot from him in those few short weeks about soccer, but I also felt his love of the game, and his love of kids and teaching them, and most of all I saw his love for his family. His face would light up when he mentioned his family, especially his new grand baby that he got to go visit recently. Thanks for sharing Dennis with us, for I know he touched my life and the lives of many many kids through his loving service. We will miss him. But I believe God has a plan for each of us, and through the power of the atonement of His son, Jesus Christ, we will have the opportunity to see Dennis again and rejoice with him. May this love of our Heavenly Father lift and strengthen you and give you hope through this difficult time in your life.
