I worked as a CNA at the assisted living facility that Dee lived in. She and I clicked immediately, and she became my best friend, my one source of comfort when work became very difficult. I knew her routines by heart, and her smile made everything worth it. I miss her dearly.
My college roommate Dee and I learned early on that we shared a passion: cleaning! During our Freshman year we discovered this commonality when challenged with cleaning the dorm at least 20 year old tile floors. We took our bucket filled with sudsy water, rags and a cleaning brush and dropped to our knees to tackled the task. No mops used for that job! Last year we laughed as we reminisced together about those times!
I loved Dee’s quiet smile and short quips that she shared during our late night “family” conversations those Freshman thru mid Junior college years!
As a new convert to the Church, I learned from my Roomies what being a child of God meant and how important having membership in His church blessed my spiritual life. Dee was blessed with material blessings which she always willingly and graciously shared.
As our post college lives unfolded we continued sharing life’s experiences: weddings, precious long distance visits and a few roommate reunions.
These these past three years mylife has been blessed to be able to visit together as white haired Seniors and together gratefully acknowledge that God is good!
Diana Borg McClellan is indeed a happy Angel today who deserves all that she graciously strived for no matter what the challenge.

Dee was the first friend I made at church when I was 16. I had moved to the area after living in a lot of places during my school years and was kind of waiting for her to come into my life. I was there the first Sunday she came to church and seldom a day went by that we didn't see or talk to each other after that. We drove to seminary together, at first with my dad driving then when she got her car we "let" her chauffer us. We graduated from Palos Verdes High School together with our friend Diane, in the first graduating class in 1962. We couldn't get enough of each other so we went to college together and the three of us were roommates. Marriage came along and separated us by distance and life, but there were always threads keeping us linked. I was in California and she was in Utah for the last few decades and when I moved here we were able to see each other more often again.
I will always remember her bright positive spirit and cheerful nature as a teenager and as a wise senior citizen. Life was a challenge at times for her but she was full of grace as she met those. She looked forward to being with her best friend again and I know she and Jay are celebrating together.

I enjoyed many youth activities with Dee so many years ago. Even though we were in different wards, we shared the same building. The weekly Saturday night dances, girls’’ camp, and many fun activities. I remember her as a happy and positive person. It was a joy to see her again this last spring.
Dee and I attended seminary, church and high school together in southern California before heading off to BYU to be roommates for the next 3 years. As mentioned in the obituary, we spent many happy hours at her family's pool in Rolling Hills. She hosted a surprise birthday party for me there for my 16th birthday! We had a great group of roommates at BYU, resulting in many fun memories. During our child-raising years we only saw each other occasionally, but, in our later years it was a delight to get together again and we had some great Palos Verdes/BYU reunions some 50 years later.
We send our heartfelt sympathies to Kevin, Kimberly and Coray, the grandchildlren, and all Dee's other family members and friends. We rejoice in the reunion she is having with Jay, Rosemary and her sweet parents, Bill and Mary.
