Dixie Rasmussen Oram's Obituary
Dixie Rasmussen Oram, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
Dixie was born on May 19, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Delpha and Glen Rasmussen. Dixie was the second oldest of six children. She graduated from Roy High School in 1966.
Dixie married the love of her life, Donald Oram, on December 2nd, 1972. She and Donald enjoyed their time together by going camping at Bear Lake, long car rides and watching the Utah Jazz games on the television.
Dixie found happiness in crocheting, quilting, jewelry making, crafts, shopping and everything else that embraced her creativity. She also cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Dixie was an asset to every employer she worked for. She enjoyed her time in the lunchroom at North Layton Jr High where she had worked for many years and retired from in 2014.
Dixie is survived by her children, Rusty (Stephanie), Joanna (Carl), Christine (Sam); grandchildren, Hayden (Kyla), Maygan (Josh), Lexie, Kobe, Cameron (Britany), Katlyn (Christopher), Remington (Julie), Britton, Sammie (Brady), Chase (Taylin), Carl Jr (Kelisey), Tomica, Niklasha, Christy, Eldon, Mark, Cameron, Michaela, Whitney, Lexie, Aaliyah; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet, Robert, Natalie, Steven; and many more friends and family.
Preceded in death by her husband Donald; father and mother Delpha and Glen; stepmother Margaret; father and mother-in-law Opal and Bill; son-in-law Kenny; brother Craig; sisters-in-law Cleone & Joanne; brothers-in-law Bob & John; and her fur baby Posie.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her love for life and the joy she shared bring comfort to all who remember her.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 S 1950 W, Roy, UT 84067. Graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m at the West Weber Cemetery, 4532 W 950 N, Ogden, UT 84404.
