I was so blessed to have known Dom for the last 17 years, and what started as a casual friendship evolved into a lifelong brotherhood. Dom was a friend of my brother Mike. They live in the same community in Provo Canyon, and many times my brother would say to me," you need to meet Dom, you have a lot in common." That finally happened on a trip to visit with my brother.
Well not only did we have a lot in common, we lived parallel lives. Both from So. California, both in the home building industry as executives, and Porsche enthusiasts. Over the years as stories evolved, we were probably in the same room at some meeting regarding a project our companies were involved in. Small world!
When he came to Palm Springs we would get together and spend time together. When he purchased his Porsche in L.A., he drove to Palm Springs where we shared our cars, and spent the weekend . He told me that if he ever sold the Porsche, he wanted me to buy it, because of our mutual love for them.
The car now resides in my garage! I am honored to have it, but more importantly, honored to have the wonderful memories that have come with it. There will never be another Dom for many of us. He brought so much joy, laughter, love and insight to so many of us. Dom was a life changer in so many ways. Because he was so considerate, he made us more considerate. Because he gave so much to friends, we gave more to others. We are so blessed to be part of Dom's circle of friends and family. So his gift to us, and his legacy, is to continue his important work. Give back, share with others, smile, and care about others in our life. Dom will live with all of us forever. I miss him every day, think of him every day, and was so blessed to have known him!
