Dominic Neil Cavaliere Jr's Obituary
Dominic Neil Cavaliere Jr
1943 - 2021
Dominic Neil Cavaliere Jr. was born March 25, 1943 to Dominic Sr. and Franca Cavaliere. He spent most of his growing up years in Long Beach, California. As a teenager he was a true California surfer who adored his Woody automobile. He was definitely a car guy all his life. (Especially Porsche's) He loved water skiing, boating, snow skiing, tennis and racquetball. He loved to travel and visited many countries. He especially enjoyed Italy, and in honor of his Italian heritage, ate lots of pasta and wine. The last few years, one of his favorite vacations was his yearly stay in Puerta Vallarta with friends and family. He also enjoyed some sun time in Palm Springs every winter to get away from the snow and cold.
After many years as a CPA and mortgage banker he changed directions and became a flight attendant for American Airlines. He retired 8 years ago after 20 years of flying. He loved helping his passengers and making them comfortable. He was an amazing host and conversationalist and made friends everywhere he went. After moving to Utah 21 years ago he worked at the MTC for 3 years and mentored and kept in touch with many of his missionaries through the years.
Dominic (DomDom to the kids) was a true gentleman and loved by many. He was very kind and considerate and always put other people first. He had several lifetime friends which he kept in frequent contact. He could always be counted on to help when needed. He genuinely cared deeply for others.
Dominic passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2021. He had continued to live a full and beautiful life even after a cancer diagnosis 1 ½ years ago.
