Donald Calvin Moss' Obituary
Donald Calvin Moss passed away peacefully February 7th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Although our hearts are broken, he had suffered long enough from dementia and many health problems.
Don was born November 6th, 1951 to Calvin and Sylvia Worsley Moss. He grew up in North Salt Lake, hiking and exploring the nearby mountains that he loved. Don was a lover of old things and spent the happiest times of his life exploring the history of Utah, gathering rocks and enjoying the outdoors. He graduated from Viewmont High School. He was a structural steel designer by profession and Co-owner of Advanced Steel Design.
Don had 2 children, with Michelle Wintch, Eric and Katie, that he loved dearly, and 3 grandsons that he adored so much.
Reuniting with his high school sweetheart, he married Chris [Weese] Mooney in 2012. They spent precious time together exploring and traveling. Don loved her 4 children and gained 4 more grandsons.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Chris, Children: Eric Moss, Katie (Brandon) Francis, and their 3 boys Connor, Colton, and Jace. Michelle (Rob) Rodeback and their sons Jackson, and Josh, Greg (Susan) Mooney and their sons Zach and Cameron, Brett Mooney, Tyler Mooney. On Monday, February 13th, A Celebration of Life open house will be held at Waterbury Clubhouse 1550 Waterbury Way in Murray, Utah from 4:30-7 pm. A private family viewing and burial at Elysian Burial Gardens, in Millcreek Utah will precede the Celebration of Life.
