Dorothy was the wife of Al Holmes, a workmate of my father. They were mechanics in Utah and later, in California. Dorothy, aka “Boo-boo” to me, was an older playmate from time to time. Looking back, she was probably a babysitter, and one of my favorite people. I lost track of her a few years back, when I moved out of the country. Even after we moved, we’d visit her parents Orly and Flo regularly. I don’t think she ever had children. I hope she did.
