I met Earleen working at the Moran Eye Center, although i did not work with her in the same department, I would see her in passing and she always made a point to stop me and say hello. I always got a very warm and kind feeling from her and that she genuinely cared for everyone. I am saddened that she is gone and will always carry a very special place for her in my heart. I'm so sad to hear about Earleen's passing. I worked with her at the Moran Eye Center and she was not only a great co-worker but someone who would always make me smile with her great sense of humor. What a great lady she was. She will be missed.-Theresa Ferraro
Only occasionally do people come into our lives who can walk with us and form a bond of trust and friendship - Earleen was one of those people. When Earleen first came to work at the Moran Eye Center in 2002, I knew almost immediately that she was a person of great strength and courage. Earleen never compromised her principles and always stood up for what she believed. Her experiences in life were not easy, and she was challenged in many, many ways, but she always rose to the occasion and turned negatives into positives. She was a great example to me, and together we helped each other. She had a twinkle in her eye and brought humor and goodness to everyone she met. She loved to learn and was technically savvy, always looking for a more efficient way to do things. Earleen's family was everything to her - her kids, her grandkids and her siblings brought her the most joy and happiness.
I will miss her every day. It has truly been an honor and privilege to call Earleen my friend.

Earleen is one of those lady's you pray will enter your life. She was a friend. visiting teacher but most of all a great example of a child of our Heavenly Father. I will miss our time together talking about her love of her brother Jesus Christ, her family and her strong testimony. May her children know of her great love for them ALL.
Earleen, because of your insight in interviewing my parents Bert and Emily porter we wouldnt have their life stories to read and enjoy. You were an important part of our lives for many years. Thank you.
