As a young boy I remember spending time in my mom's flower garden where she would tell me about what each of the different flowers were. I specifically remember her talking about "bachelor buttons" because those were my favorite. She had all kinds of flowers including snap dragons and geraniums and many others whose names I have forgotten. Her garden was where she spent most of her time and she was very proud of how beautiful her garden was.
There was nothing I couldn't talk to my mom about, she always listened to me and gave her opinion and that helped me make decisions in my own life growing up. My mom and I agreed on most things and she played a big part in the person I am today, I could not have accomplished as many things in life without my mom. My mom did so many things for me over my lifetime I can't name them all here but I think the best thing she did for me was listen and provide her support where she could.
Sometimes you don't realize what you had until it is gone, I always realized what a great person and friend my mom was but now that she is gone I realize even more how much I will miss her and how much she has done for me over the years and I will think about her every day.
I hope that before she passed away as she was sleeping she was thinking about all the good times we had and especially those days spent in her flower garden on those beautiful summer days and that those were some of the best days of my life and will always remember them. I hope she also knew just how much I loved her and that I will always miss her. Rest in peace mom.
