Celebrating the Life of Edward Joseph Ferrin
It has been several years since we said goodbye to Edward Joseph Ferrin on February 28, 2020, yet his memory remains as vivid and inspiring as ever. Born on March 8, 1956, Edward was a devoted husband, father, grandfather. Edward honorably served his country in the United States Army, proudly stationed in Germany as a military auto technician. There, he applied his exceptional mechanical skills to keep vehicles and equipment in peak condition, earning the respect of his peers and demonstrating the dedication, discipline, and quiet courage that defined him throughout life.
Edward had a rare gift for understanding how things worked. Whether rebuilding an engine, tinkering in the garage, or helping a neighbor, his hands could fix almost anything—but it was his heart, patience, and generosity that made the biggest impact. Some of our fondest memories are of Edward teaching his children how to repair and care for their own vehicles, passing on practical skills along with lessons in responsibility, problem-solving, and perseverance.
He married three times and built a family full of love: Rosemary Ferrin, with whom he had Eric and Jason and a stepson Dale Bowers; Linda Ferrin, with whom he raised Sharon, Rachel, Darlene, and Nick; and finally Janie Ferrin, with whom he shared their daughter Felicia. Edward’s 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren continue to carry forward his legacy of love, humor, and quiet wisdom.
Though Edward is no longer with us, his influence is felt every day in the lives of his family, friends, and community. His work ethic, his sense of humor, and his dedication to helping others left a mark on everyone who knew him. He taught by example, and his lessons continue to inspire us all—to love deeply, serve with integrity, and approach life with courage and determination.
Edward may have left this world, but his spirit remains with us, in every engine he repaired, every lesson he taught, and every life he touched. He is forever remembered, forever loved, and forever missed.
“Always remembered, forever missed.”
