First I want to apologize for being unable to attend Eddie's service.
Eddie, Deeners (as I call her) and I worked together for years. We were friends then and now.
There are so many things that stand out to me about Eddie, but I'll name a few that stand out.
He always remembered everyone's birthday and made a cake which made the day special. Every year for the company's Christmas party he made the best meatballs that were so delicious and HUGE! I know he made extra for me to take home. He may not have been large in stature but he was long on feisty. He was our Banty Rooster. He was a tornado in a body unable to be still too long. Our offices were spotless and you could eat off his clean, gleaming floor of which he took much pride. He was an old school gentleman. If it had been snowing he made sure our cars were cleaned off and warmed up before we left for the day. If anyone needed help he was there. He and my Dad, both being boxers of a sort, used to "play spar" and laugh. Actually, it made everyone watching laugh!
He was a good man, friend and his word was his bond.
Please watch over us Eddie .. we need all the help we can get!
Forever in my thoughts and heart,
Shawners
Happy birthday the 24th!!
