Eleanor Louise Szugye's Obituary
“Our Loving Mother”
Eleanor Louise Szugye was called home February 16, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. Our mother was born on September 21, 1925 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to John and Isabelle Lurtz. She married Jesse Alexander Szugye on August 20, 1949 (deceased).
Mom grew up in Wheatland, Pennsylvania with her brother, Robert. She started her nursing career in the 1940’s and worked hard to support her family. She was proud that all her children received higher education. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with her large family. Mom enjoyed animals, playing the piano, and was an avid reader. Mom was much loved and will be dearly missed, but we can only imagine her joy of being reunited with her daughters. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Jesse (Tricia), Paul (Cindy), Joe (Sue), and Brian; daughter, Barbara; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa and Mary.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Mom will be going home to Pennsylvania for burial.
The family suggest that donations be made to the Humane Society.
