Evelyn Lenor Wright-Bixler's Obituary
The world bids farewell to a special friend with heavy hearts, but joyful spirit we celebrate the life of Evelyn Lenor Wright-Bixler. Evelyn was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, filling each moment with laughter, joy and or unwavering positivity that inspired everyone around her. Evelyn was a true prayer warrior; her faith ran deep guiding her through this life with grace. Evelyn was a living testament to the power of love, always ready to give, forgive, and support those in need. Evelyn found joy in giving her friends gifts and enthusiasm with prayers. Evelyn’s kindness and laughter will forever brighten our memories.
Evelyn was born on Friday, April 29, 1966 Riverside, California to Shirley Ann Clark and Vernon Louis Wright. Evelyn was the youngest with two older brothers, Frand and Justin. Evelyn was 21 months old when her mother passed away. It was a hard childhood growing up without a mother. Evelyn’s father passed away when Evelyn was 16 years old. Her childhood nick name was “Evie”. Evelyn looked forward to visiting her grandmother and great grandmother. Later she moved to Alpine, Utah with a friend and never went back. When Evelyn was about 20 years old, her and a girlfriend drove across the country from California to New England and back. What a fun adventure. Evelyn loved riding horses and fishing when she was younger. Evelyn loved singing to 70’s and 80’s music, pickles, Big Macs, Nutter Butter bars, hot Taquitos rolled chips, Steak, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Dodge Chargers and fast cars. One friend would pick her up and take her to a blood drive to go donate blood. They loved seeing Evelyn show up, because her blood type was rare and could be used with all blood types (O-). Evelyn worked at K-Mart and was promoted to assistant manager. Other jobs she had was a landscraper, also finish carpenter to name a few of her talents. She loved tools. Evelyn loved her two American Pit Bull Terriers she trained.
Evelyn was married twice. She gave birth to four children, Christine Ann, Frank Justin (lived one or two minutes), Joshua James, Christepher James and one grandson Asher Travis.
In 2011, Evelyn had headache for three days at the hospital, they found and operated on an aneurysm that left her right side of her body very weak. When Evelyn was in rehab, the LDS Missionaries taught her about the gospel. Evelyn gained a testimony and was baptized, February 2012. A year later Evelyn was able to go to the temple and get her endowments and make covenants to God. Evelyn’s patriarchal blessing says “she is blessed with empathy for those in need and compassion for others”. Around 2018, Evelyn worked in the temple for a while. Evelyn bore her testimony of her love for the Savior often. A few years back, Evelyn had fun camping in A.F. Canyon, Springville, and Mapleton canyon. One of the highlights of her life was seeing several hundred wild horses out the Pony Express Road in 2021. Evelyn loved decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and dressing up as a witch. Evelyn loved going to thrift stores and buying sparkly bling jewelry. Evelyn had a few plants she loved watching then vine and grow
In February, Evelyn spent six weeks in the hospital and rehab. Evelyn was very sick with pneumonia and influenza which weaken her lungs and body. Evelyn was withy and funny and made everyone laugh.
Evelyn had a special loving soul. Evelyn had a lot of hard trial in her life that sg faced, always with a positive attitude and a smile. Having finished her earthly journey. Evelyn now rests in the loving arms of her mother and in the presence of her Lord and Savior forever loved, forever remembered and forever in our hearts.
