I was one of the many who grew up on Iola Avenue. The Lund girls and the Raso children spent many many hours playing, arguing and fighting. There was a Raso to fit into every age of the Lund Girls. And when they grew up, the younger Raso's fit in with the grandchildren. I was the oldest and saw the growth of the Raso family. It has been a long time since I was even in the "old neighborhood" but I have many good memories of that time. Joe just always seemed to be there. No matter what was going on. I am sure with a little encouragement we could come up with a lot of stories with Joe right in the middle. He seemed to have a fondness for my sister, Ina. Through the years I have only seen Joe a few times and the last few times were at funerals. Joe always had a smile and a welcome attitude. I am sure he has left many fond memories to his family.
