1944 ~ 2017
With a twelve pack in his basket, Joe rode his bike to a better place.
George Joe Raso, 72, passed away February 18, 2017, peacefully at home. His loving family and friends surrounded him.
His parents, Joseph G. Raso, Nellie Raso, brother Manual Raso and his wife, Shirley, preceded Joe in death. He had three children: Joe Raso, Tammy Raso, and Greg Raso; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, 6 sisters, and many loving friends.
Joe was employed by Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad for 30 + years. He was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz basketball team and “all things” Utah Utes Football.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, (Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum), 200 “N” Street Salt Lake City, Utah 84103. Please join us for lunch just after the service at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1058 West 400 South Salt Lake City, UT 84104.
As we mourn Joe, we are reminded that life is precious; cancer must be defeated in our time.
