Glade Eugene Chidester's Obituary
In loving memory of Glade Eugene Chidester, a cherished husband, former spouse to Denise Keim, and a devoted father to Joshua, Brittany, and Christopher Chidester (and his wife Stevie). Gene was also a proud grandfather to Dominic Massey, Peighton Chidester, and Kal Chidester. He is survived by his sister, Lavee Thomas.
Glade was born on January 14, 1947, in Price, UT, and was raised in Mapleton, UT, where he attended Springville High School. Following his education, he pursued a career in water treatment, obtaining certification from UVU.
A proud veteran, Glade served in the United States Navy, where he graduated with distinction. He later found fulfillment as a tow truck driver, auto body specialist, and steelworker.
Glade was a man of many passions and accomplishments. Notably, he served as President of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and excelled in wastewater management. He was known for his infectious smile, his witty sense of humor, and his unwavering willingness to help others in need. Glade shared a special bond with his brother, particularly through their shared love of drag racing and Harley rides.
To honor Glade's remarkable life, a celebration will be held on May 18 at 12:00 PM, located at 720 N Atlantis Dr, Orem, UT. Following the celebration, all are welcome to join in a Harley ride in his memory.
