Thank you all who commented on the memories you had with my sweetheart Glenda. I hope she could let you know in your heart how much she valued each and everyone of you. Especially the Cabela team. She kept in touch with several of you and even though she may not of commented back, she would always tell me about what you had written and then refresh my memory of what area you worked in, what you looked like, and even try to go back and somehow get a picture pulled up to make sure I rent

So what I am saying is that she did love each of you and your friendship meant a lot to her. The hole in my heart is pretty large right now. And it will never heal completely. I thank everyone for their warm and gracious comments.

I loved working with Glenda at Cabelas. She was the sweetest and kindest lady I knew. She had the same name as my mother who I had lost in car wreak in 2000. she will be missed dearly. My prays are with you Bob and your family at this time!!!!!!

in honor of Glenda.

I've known Glenda for as long as I can remember. My family and I lived next door to her family. We grew up together. We had some great times. I use to hear about her and her sisters and brother through Essie, her mom. Essie and I wrote letters back and forth for years until Essie passed away. Essie usually kept me posted on any events in her family. I was so sad to hear she had cancer. My mom passed away almost 20 years ago from cancer. I am Kim Lowery and I now live in Platteville, WI. One night there was a very severe thunderstorm and our house didn't have a storm cellar. Glenda and her family braved the storm to come and get us as they did have a basement. Glenda just scooped me up onto her back and ran for her home and basement. Her whole family were very loving and giving people. I can remember her long hair. My dad always puller on her pigtails.

May the grace of God be with her and may she rest in peace!!

Glenda blessed me with meeting her daughter when her family moved to Nebraska. Danalee and I were in high school together and we became fast friends. Although many memories stand out to me about Glenda, I remember a fond moment at Danalee's, I think, 17th birthday party. As impatient and, frankly impractical teenagers are, we wanted cake and presents, but when we became to impatient Glenda started laughing and friendly started tapping people with the leftover role of Back Street Boys wrapping paper she used on the presents for Danalee. Although Danalee was a little embarrassed. When I look back on it, I always smile. She knew how to make sure, we always knew, she was there.

I had the joy of working with Glenda for years. She was always so kind and we had a lot of fun. From poker night, to fun in the cash office, She was always a joy to be around. She was my go to for all things cash office, and I would call her for help, even after moving to a new store. And I’d love to hear her talk about her love for her kids and Bob every time I came into the cash office for anything. You could tell they were the center of her world. She always had a picture and a story. You will be missed Glenda. ❤️❤️

This hurt my heart to see! Glenda was so wonderful and kind. I missed working with her at Cabela's! She would tell me stories about her family, you could tell she loved them so much. The world lost a great person. Condolences to her family. You are all in my thoughts. ❤️
