Griffin Robert Thompson's Obituary
Griffin Robert Thompson (AKA Griffito, Little Bob, Goat, Meat & Nibble) son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend took his own life on Monday, January 23, 2023. He was 17 and struggled with depression and ADD.
Griffin was born on September 18, 2005, in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Clinton, Utah, attending Sunset Elementary and Junior high schools. He was a current student at NUAMES early college High School in Layton, Utah. He loved Math, science, biology, and his favorite was Computer Coding.
Griffin started working at age 14 and held several different jobs. He started at Lagoon, Chick-Fil-A, and finally working at Hello China restaurant in Clinton. Griffin enjoyed working and more importantly he cared deeply for his work family at Hello China.
His family and all those that knew the fine young man he was becoming were equally impressed by his intelligence, demeanor, and whit. Griff was born with an inquisitive old soul. Forever our twenty question Thompson. He enjoyed reading, gaming, and spending time with his friends.
Griffin is survived by his parents Michael Thompson and Deborah Ciesla, his older brother Colton Thompson/wife Emily, and his older sister Megan Martin. His dogs Belle and Rooster and cats Kenny & Steve. He's also survived by grandparents Robert and Karen Thompson, Riverdale, UT, and Pamela Ciesla, Norco, CA, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. at Premier Funeral Service in Roy, Utah. "These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb." Najwa Zebian
