Herb and Kathy were such a wonderful example of a loving couple! I learned so much about happy marriage by watching them the summer that they invited me to live with them in California while I was a student at BYU. I remember each night before Herb would come home from work, Kathy would put on a fresh shirt, comb her hair and put on lipstick in anticipation of her sweetheart coming home, she couldn't wait for him to walk through that door! They adored each other! They truly had a very loving and happy marriage and family!
I also appreciate all of the many hours of service that they gave to our mom, Joan, when she was in the assisted living center. They would come each week to visit, what a wonderful gift to mom those visits were! It has been comforting to know that those visits are now taking place again!
Thanks for everything Herb and Kathy! We love you both!

Brother Greer was always polite. I remember one time when I was walking across the street from his house and it was geeting dark. When Bro. Greer saw me, he yelled "you take care and be careful, it's getting dark". I am thankful to have known Herb. My condolences to Sister Greer. Carolina Bell

My heart goes out to Kathy and the Greer family, I remember Herb had a great sense of humor and even going through the dementia he could bring a smile to your face. Herb and Kathy are so sweet and you could really tell that they loved each other. I remember seeing them going on walks together. Love and prayers to Kathy and the family at this difficult time. My children and I are so grateful to have known Herb Greer. He is such a kind an loving man. As as single mom, with five children, I as certain he was placed in our lives for a reason. My sons learned how to be kind, compassionate men because of Brother Greer's example and his gentle smile. A more than faithful home teacher, he came family every month, sometimes more than once. We always looked forward to his visits and miss him greatly. We loved it when he shared stories of his adventures in Alaska and showed us a few of his inventions. We miss you and love you Brother Greer. Until we meet again.

I met Herb in 1954, our sophomore year of high school, and we rapidly became very good friends. Over a period of nearly 64 years he has remained, other than my wife Alice, my best friend. For most men friends are relatively few and far between and Herb was as good a friend as I can ever imagine having in my life.

If you dear reader have a friend half as good a friend to you as Herb has been to me tell them right away how much you appreciate them because you never know if they or you will be alive to share such compliments tomorrow or next week.

Kathy...you know how much we miss you being next door. So many memories of you and Herb sitting out front with us on the swing. Talking and laughing. One of the best memories we have of Herb is him always saying..."can I talk you into ice cream on a stick?' sometimes it was even at 10 a.m. And the many bike rides together on the trail...going to the lake or up to Subway for lunch.
