I met Howard just prior to my Graduation from Skyline High School in May 1963. At first I didn't pay much attention to him but my oh my what a fine car he had...it was a 1963 Ford Galaxie coupe...it was bright Burgandy with shiny chrome hub caps...it was a dream car and HJ looked so cool with all four windows down, his left arm on the door panel and his funny little fedora hat cruising down the road.
Howrad or HJ as I called him was a great Brother in law, who always had kind words and messages..for me and Judy...We were moving from Riverdale to West Jordan in 1978 and needed help buying a House in West Jordan on 90th South, HJ had just got into Real Estate and we ask for his help. He negoiated a contract with two Bortherts who were contractors to build us a house...in the contract HJ told the contractors we would paint the home for a discount...it worked and not only did we get the painting discount but Howard also gave us part of his commision in cash to buy the paint...wow what a great Brother.
Through the years we always enjoyed our visits with Nancy and HJ...They moved from the mouth of the Canyon to West Jordan...we went to visit them just after they moved in and were having a nice chat when the West Jordan Police came to their door and asked "who owns the Truck" both Nancy and HJ said he does pointing at me...the Policeman said a woman was filing a complaint because I backed over a tree when I had the wrong address...HJ later told me he talked to the Home Owners Association and the lady and got it all cleared up and I was off the Hook...wow what a brother in law saved me again.
We will miss both HJ and Nancy Anne and their comforting ways of making us always feel good knowing they are together along with all their family members. We know the good Lord will bless and comfort the family during this most troubled time...Jim and Judy
