My first memory of Kevin was when my brother Allen and I came to Utah from LA where our family lived, on a Greyhound bus (yes our parents let us ride in the 1970s on a Greyhound bus alone when I was about 12 and Allen 10).
Kevin was recently off his mission to England and we learned about his fake eye. Most fun was that Kev was excited to show us his new Jeep and take Allen and I four wheeling in it, which we did. I thought the ride was very bumpy but appreciated Kevin's youthful excitement, happy disposition, and willingness to take time to take us 4 wheeling.
Another great set of memories were when Allen and I were studying at the Y and we used to drive to SLC to visit Kevin and Kathleen and kids from 1986 thru 1989. As I recall this was generally at Thanksgiving. We would talk for hours and have some great conversations. The welcoming spirit, which I have always felt visiting their home, and food were appreciated greatly by me. We enjoyed playing with the boys as well.
Later, in the 2000s and 2010s when vI was recruiting at the Y for my company, I would stop by whenever I could and we would have enjoyable visits.
Probably my last good conversation with him was at Lagoon in 2021 when we were there on vacation and met the Jones clan there. It was great to visit with them all.
I know Kevin had many challenges. He would tell me about them sometimes when we visited on vacation or when vI was in Utah recruiting.
However, I expect to always have good memories of Kevin from our many visits and great conversations
