Gloria Owens Buynak
Jacki and I met as pageant sisters at the Hill Cumorah Pageant in 1971. I was a new convert and the first time we met we knew that we had known each other before and became vast friends. While attending BYU I spent weekends and some Christmases at her family home. It was a a fun experience and some treasured memories came from those experiences. Her friendship, mission, marriage and birth of her children were shared with me over the years of being in Utah. In spite of time and distance when ever we talked on the phone it was as if we had just seen each other yesterday. My memories of us together when she came out to Washington D.C for my wedding in June of 1989. We stayed up way to late for a bride to be but I wouldn't have traded that experience. Just talking and sharing always brought a smile to my face. The last time I saw her was in September of 2008 but, that never dimmed our friendship. Jacki was a woman of faith and testimony of the Lord. I cannot think of her without a smile knowing that she is truly free. I loved my eternal friend dearly.
