My dad and James were friends since before I was born. I remember going to his house and playing with Smokey and watching Star Trek, AIRWOLF and movies. Myself and James would watch AIRWOLF a lot when I was little and it was my favorite show. After my Dad passed, me and James stayed in contact. He would call me String when we talked on the phone and I would call him Dom.. It was always our thing when it came to talking. When I was little, James and my dad had an affinity for Model Railroading. They would often help each other on Train board builds and I got sucked into Model trains as a kid. Sometimes playing for hours on end on the train boards they'd built. James was an awesome person and funny. He cared very much for his dog's, especially Sparky. James would tell me about the trips to the Dog park and letting Sparky just run around and be a dog, despite his disability of being blind, Sparky had the knack to calm the more aggressive dogs down into a playful mood, James really loved that about Sparky.
I was sad to hear about James passing, my heart goes out to his Family & Friends.
Dom (James), Thank you for being you, for being a friend. I hope you and my dad are sitting back and having some good times. Playing with your Train boards.
