James L Boe's Obituary
James L. Boe passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 2, following a short and painless brush with pancreatic cancer. His family surrounded him with love and support throughout his life journey and he left in peace.
He was born in Torrance, CA on December 23, 1954, to Rollin and Ruth Boe. His family moved to Ogden, Utah when he was 13, where he lived most of his life except for an adventure in his 20s with friends in Colorado. He loved the Ogden valley and his friends and family and lived happily there for most of his time. He found a real talent and love for computer aided drafting and enjoyed that career path.
James collected many vinyl records, CDs, VHS tapes, books and DVDs. James had a special affinity for animals. He had two special four-legged buddies over the years. First was his German Shepherd, Smokey, who was lovingly called “Mr. Stovers.” His dear friend Madelyn brought him a little terrier pup nine years ago, Sparky, that filled his days with joy and companionship. He filled his home with those things he loved, including friends and family.
James was a loving, giving and caring soul who would do just about anything for someone in need. Our mother always called him “Sunny Jim” for his happy attitude.
He was preceded in death by his parents, friend Madelyn and several uncles. He is survived by his three siblings Deborah Boe, Mark (Judy) Boe, and Karen (Robert Godfrey) Boe.
His family would like to thank the staff at the Auberge Assisted Living facility in North Ogden for making his last few days so much more comfortable.
A memorial service will be set up at a later date.
