Heartfelt condolences to all the Corrigan family. Something told me to Google this afternoon and I found this sad news. James baptized me around 1979-80 and opened up a wonderful time in my life. My husband Mike Gillette was already a member and those two shared a love of service to others in their work in law enforcement. Jim spoke at Mike’s funeral in 1995. The Corrigans are an awesome family and consistently set an excellent example for everyone who were blessed enough to know them. I’m too overcome to write more, but trust and believe James was greeted by Mike and they are happy together. God bless you all! Anna ❤️❤️🙏🙏

I was so sad to hear of Chief Corrigan’s passing. You see he hired me at my first law enforcement job at Santa Paula Police Department. I was his secretary and the first secretary ever for SPPD. Jim was an incredible boss, full of integrity, hard working, conscientious, kind, fair and always supported his department—his officers and staff. He expected everyone to do a good job and held people accountable. I will never forget the cold shoulder he was given by many in the department when he started there mostly because he was hired not from within the department and people just didn’t know him very well. But by the time he left SPPD, everyone did not want him to leave as he was well respected and liked by all. Jim is one of the best Police Chiefs I have ever worked for. My heart hurts for Donna and his family.

I went to pay for my meal at Chefs coffee shop, the cashier said my meal was paid for by the gentleman before me, I knew President Corrigan paid for my meal, he was my neighbor, and always payed it forward I’ll never forget his willingness to serve and help others
