My acquaintance with JaVann began when she and Garth and their family moved into our West Jordan neighborhood. That aquaintance grew into a lovely and cherished friendship over many years. I was her ministering sister for many of those years, but found she was always trying to minister to me which I loved. She would share her spiritual as well as everyday thoughts and feelings and I learned many things from her. She had a talent for making things look just right in her home, with her quilts, in the food she prepared and the clothes she wore. She was a classy lady and my love and admiration for her grew and grew.
I remember her sad and lost feelings when Garth had health problems and eventually passed away. What a great example she was of strength and faith in the gospel as she began a new life. She met and married Claude about the time that we moved to St. George and we had the pleasure of visiting with them in West Jordan and also of having them visit us in St. George. They were so very happy and joyful together.
Both Jim and I express our love and appreciation to Claude and to JaVann's whole family. We feel we were richly blessed in knowing and loving JaVann.
