My friendship with Jeannette has been a short one as we have only known each other for about a year. Our daughters were roommates together at college just by chance and they quickly became best friends. I called Jeannette last April and spoke to her for the first time. During that conversation, we connected. On so many levels she spoke to my soul. I shared with her that I had been praying for my daughter, Madison, to find a friend at college and that Lauren had truly been an answer to my prayers. She paused for just a moment then replied that Madison had been an answer to her prayers. She had been praying for Lauren to find a friend, a soulmate, someone she could just be herself with. By these girls rooming together I also found that kind of friend in Jeannette.
She treated my daughter like family and even went out of her way to drop off a gift for me when I was visiting Utah last fall. Jeannette knew about something that I liked and went above and beyond to get me this gift. We had a good chuckle about it, but I must tell you, it meant the world to me that someone would go to such extremes. It says a lot about what kind of woman she is and the legacy she has left for her children. It is an honor and a privilege to be counted among her friends. Until we meet again-
