Jedediah "Jed" Vaughn Ogden's Obituary
Jed passed way in the early morning hours on Saturday, September 17, 2022, doing what he loved.
Jed was born to John Bishop Ogden Sr. and Joan Carol Hoppie on June 28, 1962. He was the 4th out of 8 children and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints He attended schools in the Magna area. In Junior High while he was in 9th grade, he received his letterman’s jacket, which was a huge honor. He loved all sports, particularly baseball, football and golf. He had many lifelong friends that dated back to his childhood. He had five beautiful daughters and two grandchildren.
Jed was very much a people person and loved to talk. He would stop just to say hi and it would become a full conversation.
Jed is survived by his daughters; Mycka Murphy, Rylie Ogden, Morgan (Taylor) Christensen, and Ashton Ogden, two grandchildren; Angela and Darius Murphy, five brothers and two sisters; Karen (Guy) Bowden, Raymond (Coree) Ogden, Matthew (Lisa) Ogden, Suzanne (John) Eddington, John (Kathy) Ogden, Richard (Sabrina) Ogden and Jared (Gabriela) Ogden, multiple nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Jed is preceded in death by his daughter Taylor Ogden and his parents John and Joan Ogden.
Viewing Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services, located at 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, UT.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., located at the Pleasant Green Cemetery in Magna, UT.
