I got to know Joni when I took care of Bob when he was put on Hospice. My favorite memories of them both was Bob always had a smile on his face and a giggle for me when I came in the room and her always calling him "Darlin". She was a sweet soul and I am happy to know they are together again. I know how much they loved each other and I have thought of them often since his passing. I am sorry for your loss.
I feel very grateful to have seen Joni at many family events, and I always admired how fashionable she was. She always greeted me with a beautiful smile, and was genuinely interested in listening to all the stories that were shared by the Mort family, and our local theatre. I was graciously invited to spend the weekend at their paradise in Twin Oaks, and it has remained an unforgettable time in my life where we all enjoyed nature and the company of each other. May she know that she was loved by everyone, and that as a friend of the family, she invited me with kindness. May she find her partner Bob and may they enjoy heaven’s paradise.

I’ll always have the fondest memories of playing Scat around the table with Joni and Bob. Joni loved telling the story of how her and Bob reunited once again later in life. She would light up everytime and her love for him was so palpable. It was a gift to witness their giddy love for each other. Joni’s love for Yankees candles and designer sunglasses was nearly as passionate. I loved her very much
