Dear Steven, Jana, Ken and your families, What a grand lady your Mother is!! She brightened everyones' lives! Clint and I are recuperating from back surgery and Pinkeye and are babysitting our four grandchildren. We send our love and condolences. You have so many wonderful memories to bless your lives. May you feel the love your Mom gave to all of us.
I'm so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I know she is having a wonderful reunion with Mel and with her family. Remembering all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so saddened to hear of Sister Duke's passing. I remember her fondly from my teenage years in the Burbank 3rd Ward. She was a very sweet lady. My prayers, sympathy and condolences to the entire family for their loss. May the Lord give you strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Joan was my cherished friend and mentor. She and Mel were such a wonderful couple. I know that they are together now. What a joyous reunion that must have been! I know that she was well taken care of by her family in Utah but she was missed in Burbank. My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful supportive family.

My deep sympathies to Sister Duke's family. I remember her fondly from the Burbank ward. She was always fun and had so many talents. Her meatloaf recipe is still in my file and she saved the day when the youth were performing as a gospel choir for a road show. We needed costumes and she made them all in just a day or so. I send my deepest sympathies to your family. Yet fond memories live on. Joan was a loving friend and second mom to me through our Jr. High and High School years. Always one of the girls, we sang and danced, we sewed clothing and did crafts, camped at El Capitan every summer, and went to fancy luncheons together. Her love and joyous personality never ended.
