John was my banker. He was wonderful to work with. i would make a loan with him to improve my creidt rating. He would tell me I was just the kindof guy he liked to loan money to. He and florence attended Silver Sneakers program. Everybody misses them. He was a long time friend and I loved him. Arlin Kuhni
My Grandpa Beal was an exemplary role model to me on how one should lead a family. He loved his wife Florence and shared an equal partnership with her. I never saw him loose his temper, though he did know how to be firm when he needed to be. I felt safe each time I went to their home for activities including writing funny stories, telestrations, and hot tubbing.
Grandpa would call occasionally just to chat with me and catch up on my life. This habit continued after we moved out of state and was a true blessing for me. Some of my favorite memories with Grandpa Beal were going up to Heber with Him, my dad Mike, Doug, and Trey to watch the priesthood session of General Conference with Great-Grandpa Carlile.
I cannot over-state the influence for Good that John Beal had in my life. Not only as my Bishop during most of my high school years, but as the dad of one of my best friends at the time, Mike. I don't think he ever missed an opportunity to give up his time for a game of Mille Borne with us, or even just to spend time with those who needed it. His patience, love, laugh, jokes, and wisdom are things I will never forget.
John Beal was my first boss at Central Bank in Provo. He modeled professionalism and was a patient teacher. He was kind and a saint for taking on high school students in their first jobs!
The day John married my sister Florence I was given the task to go get the keys to the old social hall in Heber so they could decorate for their reception. John offered the key to his car for me to use, that car was the only one in town like that, it was bright red and had fins on the back, the kind of car every teenage kid in those days wanted to be seen driving, and everyone on the street stopped to look at. To make things better the key was at the house of one of the popular girls my age, I was so proud as she answered the door with me standing there with that red car behind me. From a foolish teenager to an old man with gray hair, John has always made a difference in my life with his example of endless service to others, always going out of his way to help someone else, his community, and his church. With his life of service and his unwavering testimony of His Father in Heaven, his Savior Jesus Christ, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I think he has made a difference in the life of everyone who has known him. I know Carolyn and I will miss him, but will still feel his influence in our lives.
Our love and condolences to John and Florence's family. Being cousins and having grown up with the Beal family in Lehi there are lots of fun and fond memories of the good old days. We are grateful for relationships and friendships. Paul and Dottie and family.
John was always so friendly, happy and kind. I feel blessed to have known him. Our prayers are with your family.
I sure loved this man. He was always so enthusiastic, positive and always the first volunteer when help was needed. I’m already missing him. Blessings and condolences to his family.
John was my very first boss at Central Bank in Provo in 1967. He was kind and fun and always ready to teach this little 17 year old about the banking business and how to treat people.
