in honor of John.

I’ve known John for quite some time and it is because I’m good friends with his son John and Jake and grandson Jonah. Throughout the years it has been fun to hear about stories involving things that John has done and his love for life and his adventures that he’s been doing. It seems like he always had an activity to do, and was occupying his mind and his time with things that he enjoyed. I remember bowling with him a few times and listening to his bowling stories and his techniques that he was willing to always share and try to teach. I also remember stories that made me laugh a lot and showed me that life is short and to enjoy it. I know that he loved his kids a lot, and was a very stubborn man when it came to certain things but he was willing to listen and I know that he loved his grandkids a lot as well, he will be missed.

I knew John for the past few years and know how he suffered after Nancy passed away. With this extreme loss he tried to keep himself busy primarily by putting the fear of death in the fish at Bartholomew Pond and Spanish Oaks where he caught literally thousands of fish often going several times a day.
"Gone fishing" was definitely his moniker. We went fishing and bowling on occasion where he beat me at both on a regular basis. He was a very smart and ingenious individual and very interesting to listen to and be around. I considered him to be a friend and I will miss my time with him but I know he is happy now with Nancy.

I’m so sorry to hear about Uncle John’s passing. I pray that he and Aunt Nancy are reunited in heaven. I’m sad to not get to jam with him again, but glad to have those memories. I hope there’s drums in heaven!

I love to eat fish. John would catch all the fish I could ever eat 😊 I remember attending John and Nancy's sealing in the temple. They were so in love ❤️ And now they are together for eternity!
