Johnny, Steve Deppe, and I believe Chris Card and I went to S. California in the summer of 1972. I was the only one to graduate from Park City High. We were in Johnny’s 1965 Mustang GT with a boss 302 engine. We had the time of our lives. Stayed in Culver City the 1st night someone Johnny knew. Next we went to Johnny’s cousin Larry Pahl, and his older brother was just leaving for a trip, so we were able to stay there. We scored a jar of meth tabs, hit the beaches and just had ablast. Johnny was are wild child. No doubt about that. No fear of approaching anyone, exact opposite of me. I loved Pauline and Debbie. They always treated me so kind the few times I stayed at the Burn’s residence. Love you both. So glad you’re happily married now Debbie I will never forgive myself for not following up after meeting Danyeil one evening. When we were at Terry Freeman’s and you all were at your house. The next day we’re at the pinball machine at the bowling alley and saw you 3 at the door and Danny Stark made a disparaging remark about Danyell’s short hair and I didn’t do anything. Shameful. Ended up marrying a girl with the same short haircut. Back to Johnny. Definitely one of akind. Wild child, full of grace, leader of our human race. Later on in 1976. I lert cedar city on the greyhound bus for L A thinking I would just find a job. Got to LA bus terminal and said to myself what the hell do I do know. Remembering Johnny’s cousin lived there in City of Orange, called him. He had just been laid off at the wharehouse and was on unemployment. He came and got me and took me on a new adventure every day. Culminating with a stay at Joshua Tree National Forest. It was atotal spiritual experience for me. We were supposed to travel the USA together but I was laid up at the Salt Lake VA hospital afterbad car wreck Larry Johnny and Steve came visited me before LarryPahl left on his adventure. Those were the days. Fond memories of Johnny Burns and John Edward Burns. Volunteer night cop picked me up after a night in jail (Davis County) John Edward Burns. The best of the best. Johnny the best of the wild crew. Rest in peace my friend. Love Ricki Madsen
