Dad passed away peacefully January 18, 2021 after suffering a stroke 4 days earlier. Dad’s health had been declining lately. He had been bedridden since early December and was not happy about it. With his big sis passing away January 2, 2021 he seemed to have decided it was time to go home and join his family .
Preceded in death by his parents John Vallace Sr and Violet Hansen Vallace, Brothers Don Vallace and Gene Vallace, Sister June Nielson, and Brother-in-law Leonard Overstreet.
Survived by wife Billie Rae Overstreet Vallace. Brother-in-law Lewis Lundell and wife . Daughters Linda and Jerry Griffis, Sandy and Bill Underwood, Vickie and Kevin Williams, Debbie and Cleade Ivie, Son David Vallace, 44 Grand Children, 12 Great-Grand Children and many neices and nephews .
Served in United States Army from January 9, 1952 - January 13, 1953. Served in Seabees Reserves from 1970-1992, United States Air Force Reserve from 1953-1967 and retired.
Dad was quite the joker. He enjoyed his "Dear John letters,” even though they were junk mail he thought as them personal to him.
Dear John Rest In Peace. He lived a long and interesting life. He was a Baker, Chef, and an Auto Mechanic, and a self taught jack of all trades. He loved his job at Hill Field Wood Shop.
Many thanks to Hospice for Utah for all your love and support.
