Jon Austin Schmidt
1969 – 2019
Jon Austin Schmidt, 49, of Pleasant Grove, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 20, 2019.
Jon is survived by his wife, Dara Wiley, 5 children: Peter Schmidt, Lindsey Crawford (Austin), Tyler Schmidt (Kenya), Brittany, Aubrey, 3 siblings: Jerry Schmidt, Jamie Schmidt, Jannah Weiler (Troy), and seven grandchildren.
Jon was proud, as was his family, of his accomplishment in 2018 of graduating in HVAC and working in a field he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved fishing and building model cars. Jon will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, April 26, 2019 in the LDS Chapel at 828 S. Locust Ave, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment in the American Fork City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jon Schmidt memorial fund.
