Joyce Xavier Johnson's Obituary
Joyce Xavier Johnson, age 52, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on May 13, 2024 from coronary heart disease (heart attack).
Joyce was born on November 4, 1971, in Baltimore, MD, to Joseph Xavier and the late Hsiao "MeiMei" Hui Xavier. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Edward "Lyon" Johnson, and her three sons Wyatt, Ivan, and Edward "Eli". Joyce is also survived by her two brothers Joe (Kim) and Craig, along with twenty adoring nieces and nephews.
Joyce had a successful career as a Human Resources Coordinator at KIFI Local News 8 and had previously worked as an Editorial Assistant at Carroll County Times, Cellular One, and as a Personal Walmart Shopper. She dedicated time to supporting her family and friends, always excelling in her roles.
In her free time, Joyce enjoyed reading, photography, crocheting, tending to many pets, and serving as the Idaho Falls Lacrosse Director. She had a passion for travel and was a devoted mother, always supporting her boys in their endeavors. She never forgot a birthday and enjoyed her role as Godmother to several of her nieces and nephews always reminding all of them how much she loved them. It’s hard to believe a woman with such a loving and caring heart would have a heart that failed her.
