Troy Wootton
Yesterday we said goodbye to my best friend.
I know that through God I will be able to be with her again.
I had the great privilege of spending the last six and a half years taking care of her and being her companion and partner in crime. She taught me so many things during my lifetime but it made an impact that I will take through the rest of mine. She taught me the importance of being honest and trustworthy and what it means to be a compassionate person.
She also taught me some of the best tricks of the trade in the kitchen. I had the greatest pleasure trying new recipes.
Even when I was living out of state my mother and I spoke to each other almost every single day. I look forward to our phone conversations because it kept her close to me and she was always there with "well hi how are you" .
Yesterday was the hardest day of my life and I know over time that the sadness will dissipate and the wonderful loving memories will take its place.
Now that my mother is gone who do I have to call me Leonard when she would forgive my name.
She's back with her family where she wanted to be and I look forward to joining them and having her by my side again.
I will always love you Mom
